Eggless Rava Cake


Everyone loves to eat cake, why cant we make a healthy choice instead of using maida. Here we are going to prepare cake using rava, which will be super soft and tatse yummy. Also here the baking done in fry pan.

Ingredients:
*I used 120ml cup for measurement here.
Rava – 1 cup
Milk- 1 cup
Curd- 1 cup
Sugar- ½ cup (use ¾ cup sugar if required)
Oil- ¼ cup
Baking powder- ½ tsp
Baking Soda- a pinch
Vanilla or Rose Essence- few drops

How to prepare Eggless Rava Cake:
  • Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Now add the oil, curd and half cup of milk to the bowl and give a nice mix without lumps.
  • Let the batter rest for 10mins. It will be thick now, at this point add the remaining milk and mix it.
  • Grease the cake mould with butter or oil in which we are going to cook the cake. Get a fry pan which is wide enough to hold the cake mould. Now place a metal stand inside the fry pan cover it and preheat in medium flame for minimum of 10mins.
  • Transfer the mixed batter inside the greased mould for maximum ¾th of its height and tap it twice. Place the mould inside the preheated pan carefully, close with lid and cook in low flame for 20mins. Use knife or tooth pick to check cake is cooked properly.
  • Remove the cake from pan and let it cool.  Once it cooled transfer it to a plate and serve.

Note:
  • Recipe can be double.
  • I used 6inch wide cake mould which took 20mins. Time may vary depends on the pan, heat and height of the cake.
