Ginger chutney is one which good for digestion, fight against infection, reduce menstrual pain, contains substance to prevent cancer also reduce cholesterol. This can be taken in form of chutney with dosa and idli to give a different combination also to make everyone in the family to have this healthy form of chutney.

Ingredients:
Ginger- ¼ cup (chopped)
Coriander leaves- ¼ cup
Onion- 1 medium (chopped)
Tamarind- 1 small piece
Green chilli- 2
Red chilli- 2
Grated coconut- 1tbsp
Salt- as required
Hing- ¼ tsp
Oil- 1tsp
Pepper- ½ tsp
Channa dal- ½ tsp
Urad dal- ½ tsp
Jaggery powder- 1tbsp
For temper:
Oil- 1tsp
Mustard- ¼ tsp
Urad dal- ¼ tsp
Cumin- ¼ tsp
Curry leaves- 1 sprig
How to prepare Ginger Chutney:
- In a pan add oil, Channa dal, urad dal, pepper, ginger, coriander leaves, onion, tamarind, green chilli, red chilli saute for 2mins.
- Allow to cool and add them to a mixer jar, grind smooth paste, add salt, hing and jaggery powder and give a pulse to mix.
- Transfer to a bowl, temper the oil, mustard, urad dal, cumin, curry leaves and add to the chutney. Ginger Chutney is ready to serve.
