Chocolate ganache without Chocolate


This is basic chocolate syrup used for cake decoration, ice cream also for truffle cake. This is a recipe without using cream.

Ingredients using chocolate:
Chocolate - 100gram chopped
Milk - 1cup+2tsp
Corn flour- ½ tsp
Butter - 1tbsp

How to prepare chocolate ganache using chocolate:
  • Heat the milk and add the chocolate into it. Stir well in low flame till the chocolate dissolves completely.
  • In a small bowl add corn flour and dissolve with 2tsp of milk.
  • Add this to the chocolate milk mixture and keep stirring continuously in the low flame till it gets thick and pouring consistency turn off the flame. Finally add butter and mix well for glossy finish. Chocolate ganache is ready. Glaze the cake or use to prepare icecream once it reaches room temperature.


Ingredients using cocoa powder:
Cocoa powder- 4tbsp
Sugar - 3tbsp
Butter- 1tbsp
Corn flour- ½ tsp
Milk- 1cup
Salt- a pinch

How to prepare chocolate ganache using cocoa powder:
  • Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the milk gradually and mix well.
  • Cook in low flame till it thickens, turn off the flame and add the butter for glossy finish then mix well. Glaze the cake or use to prepare icecream once it reaches room temperature.


Tips:
  • Using full fat milk will enrich the taste.
  • You can skip the cornflour if you don't want. It will take little more time to get thick.
  • To prepare frosting using this cool down the mixture to room temperature or keep in fridge for 5mins then whisk to get thick frosting for cake decoration.
