When Chicken Gravy is made spicy, it will goes with
almost all combinations. Here is a spicy chicken gravy recipe.

Ingredients:
Chicken- 250gram
For paste:
Tomato- 2 medium (roughly chopped)
Onion- 1 large(roughly chopped)
Green chilli- 2 medium(roughly chopped)
For masala:
Red chilli- 5
Pepper- 1tsp
Cumin seeds/jeera- 1tsp
Fennel seeds/sombu- ½ tsp
Coriander seeds- 1tbsp
Cinnamon stick/pattai- 1stick
Cloves/lavangam- 4nos
Cardamom/elachi- 3nos
Bay leaf/brinchi- 2
For Coconut paste:
Coconut- 2tbsp
Poppy seeds/kasa kasa- ½ tsp
Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
Water- as required for Gravy
Salt- as required
Coconut Oil- 1tbsp
Coriander leaves- 2tbsp

How to prepare chicken gravy:
- Dry roast all the ingredients given for making masala and powder the masala and keep aside.
- Paste the Coconut, poppy seed, turmeric powder and keep aside.
- Also add the tomato, onion, green chilli to the blender and grind to paste.
- In a pan or pressure cooker add oil and pour the tomato onion puree in it along with required salt, saute till the puree thickens for 6-8mins, now add the Coconut paste into it and saute till raw aroma vanishes.
- Now add the powdered masala and saute for 2mins, then add the chicken into it and saute till water from chicken evaporates.
- Now add required water and cook till chicken becomes soft. Finally add the coriander leaves and now the chicken gravy is ready to serve.
