Tamarind Sweet chutney is a good combination with
all kinds of chat, aloo samosa, onion samosa, aloo tikka etc. This will enhance
the taste of the chat.

Ingredients:
Tamarind- lemon size
Dates - 5-6 nos deseeded
Jaggery - 5tbsp
Roasted cumin powder- ½ tsp
Roasted coriander powder- ½ tsp
Roasted fennel powder- ½ tsp
Chilli powder- ½ tsp
Black salt - ½ tsp (optional)
Dry ginger powder - ½ tsp
Salt - as required

How to prepare tamarind Sweet chutney:
- Soak a lemon size tamarind in hot water for 20mins, strain the water and keep aside, now blend the pulp and filter it using strainer to collect the puree. Add more water if required while taking the puree.
- In a pan add the strained water and puree, add the deseeded dates along with jaggery, roasted Jeera powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, black salt, dry ginger powder and salt.
- Boil this for 10mins and mash the dates in the pan using masher. Cook till the mixture thickens to one string consistency. Refrigerate it in air tight glass container for a month.
Tips:
- You skip dates and use jaggery alone. You can also go for 1:1 ratio of jaggery and sugar.
- Take required amount of tamarind chutney and dilute as required before serving.
