Atta Pizza

Pizza is one of the favorite recipes for all age group. Here we are going to prepare the base without yeast within 5mins of time. This recipe uses all the readily available ingredients at home, except mozzarella cheese, without mozzarella we can’t bring the pizza taste which is main ingredient for any pizza recipe. Also we are going to use regular tomato ketchup instead of pizza sauce. Topping may be of your choice, here I used tomato, onion, capsicum and tofu which I had at home while preparing this.

Ingredients:
Dough:
Atta/Wheat Flour – 1 cup
Curd – 1/3 cup
Baking Soda – ¼ tsp
Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Salt – As required
Oil -2 tbsp
Dry flour – for dusting

*1cup=250ml

Topping:
Vegetables (Capsicum, onion, tomato, tofu)- 1 tbsp each chopped
Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
Garam Masala Powder – ¼ tsp
Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
Salt – As required
Oil - 1 tsp
Tomato Sauce – 3 tbsp
Pizza Cheese – 4 tbsp grated

How to prepare Atta Pizza:

  • Mix the Turmeric Powder, Garam masala powder, Red chilli powder, salt and oil with the topping vegetable. Fry it in a pan for 1 min.
  • In a mixing bowl add atta, baking soda, baking powder, salt and curd. Knead this to soft dough, now the dough will be soft and sticky. Finally add oil and knead for 2-3 mins, the dough will be smooth and soft.
  • If using large size tray for cooking the pizza use entire dough, if not divide the dough into two parts. Dust the flour and flat the dough according to the size of the tray. (I used stainless steel plate for making pizza)
  • Grease the pizza tray with oil or butter. Place the pizza base on the greased tray. Now make some hole on the base with fork, which is the important step in this recipe.  (If not the pizza will get puffed up unevenly while cooking)
  • Spread the tomato sauce on the base. Spread the pizza cheese and vegetable toppings.
  • Preheat the kadai with sand or salt. Place a stand on top of the salt, now place the pizza tray. Cover the kadai and cook in high heat for about 15-20 mins. (Cooking time depends on the size of the pizza, kadai and temperature)
  • The cheese on the top of pizza should get melted and the bottom of pizza base should have change the color to golden brown. Now the pizza is ready to serve.
