How to prepare Atta Biscuit:
- Take the room temperature ghee in a bowl and mix them well with your fingers till smooth and fluffy for 3 mins.
- Add the powdered sugar and mix well. Now add Maida, baking powder, salt and half the quantity of wheat flour along with milk and mix well.
- After a nice mix add the remaining wheat flour to the mixture and knead them.
- Keep this dough in fridge for 20mins.
- Now grease the idli plate or steel plate or tray with ghee or butter in which we are going to bake the biscuit. Take a pan along with lid in which our baking plate fits properly.
- Pre heat the pan in a medium high flame for 10mins and keep them ready. Meanwhile take the dough, flat them to desired thickness and cut them to desired shape, use toothpick or fork to make designs. (I flat then to 0.2cm thickness, round shaped and poke them using fork)
- Arrange them on greased plate with some gaps between each biscuits. Place a stand inside the preheated pan and place the biscuit tray on them. Close the lid and bake for 10-15 mins in medium low flame till you see brownish in bottom of the biscuit and top is evenly in same colour. Use tooth pick to check the biscuit is clear and bake properly.
- Note that biscuits will be soft till then cool down completely. Transfer them to wire mess and allow them to cool. Now you will get crispy biscuits.
