When planning for a long trip along with baby the food for
baby will be a major concern for new moms. Here is the recipe for instant food
for babies during travel.
I have used red rice poha. You can use any variety you get.
Poha can be consumed without cooking, as we dry roast the same before grinding
into powder, Fried gram also can be consumed without cooking. Hence I have
added only those ingredients as a major here. Ajwain will help in easy digestion.
This mix can also be used for prepare instant snacks, I will post the recipe
later.

Ingredients:
Poha/Aval/Beaten rice – 250gram (Used red rice poha)
Fried Gram/Pottu Kadalai/Bengal Gram – 2tbsp
Ajwain/Omam- ¼ tsp

How to prepare Instant Poha Cereal Mix:
In a pan dry roast the poha for 2-3 mins till crispy.
Transfer to the plate and cool it.
Dry roast the fried gram for 2-3 mins and cool it in same
plate.
Now add the ajwain and roast till it starts to splitter.
Once it got cool completely grind them to fine powder.

How to prepare Instant Cereal/Poha porridge:
Take a tbsp of cereal powder, add jaggery or brown sugar if
required for your baby, then add ¼ cup hot water to the powder and mix it
without lumps. Allow it to rest for 5 mins.
The powder will absorb the water and will get increase in
quantity. Add more water according to the consistency which you serve for your
baby and then feed the baby.
Tips:
If the powder is not fine sieve the grounded powder and then
grind the coarse particle again.
